Siemens LOGO! setting of time relay functions

Siemens LOGO! is a great choice for a quick and easy solution to industrial control and regulation tasks. Below are the main instructions and recommendations for making the controller work.

1. Select one of the current LOGO base models, according to the planned control process and the devices to be connected:

• with or without display
• 220V or 12 / 24V version

2. Purchase and install the latest Siemens LOGO Soft Comfort 8.3 software version on your PC! 6ED1058-0BA08-0YA1 or download the update version 8.3 if a previous version has already been purchased (the latest LOGO! Models will only work with the latest 8.3 software version).

3. Select the most appropriate sample program from the wide range of demo programs offered by Siemens, which are included on the installation disc or available for download. It is necessary to register on the Siemens website.

4. Adapt and update the program according to the planned management process and the selected LOGO model. Check the operation of the program in the built-in simulation mode (Fig. 1). At LOGO! it is only possible to save the program without errors.

5. Connect the module to the supply voltage according to the operating instructions. LOGO! is ready for operation as soon as the power supply is connected.

6. Connect your computer to LOGO! module for configuring and loading the program.

• It is possible to connect both directly and via a network switch.
• Connection with a standard Ethernet cable 10/100 Mbit / s Ethernet RJ45, (Fig. 2).
• The appropriate IP address, subnet mask and gateway of the used network to be entered into the module (Fig. 3).
• Launch LOGO! Soft Comfort application on the computer and check the established network connection (Fig. 4).
• If there are fixed IP addresses in the network, then also LOGO! must be set the same and make sure the addresses do not overlap.
• Upload the new (demo) program, set the correct time, winter / summer time, if necessary (Fig. 5).
• The version of the selected module should be checked in the lower right corner of the program (Fig. 6).
• Activate WEB server access and set access passwords in the module (Fig. 6.1).
• Activate the WEB server function for program notification blocks to allow modification of their values ​​remotely via the built in server (Fig. 6.2).

7. Connect to the LOGO! module using any WEB browser.

• LOGO! the module must have an active network connection to the internal network.
• Enter present LOGO IP address in the browser to access the embedded WEB server (Fig. 7).
• Select a user and enter a pre-set password.
• Access to the built-in functions opens, which allows you to remotely control and monitor the operation of the module or change its settings (Fig. 8-11).

8.
