It doesn't have to be cold weather or tropical heat, illness can catch us completely unprepared. Yes, illness can come unnoticed, uninvited, even on the most beautiful moments of life. Sickness does not think whether someone is good or bad. Sickness desires young and old equally. It makes us want to rage, scream and cry. The endless questions arise - why? Yes, illness is painful not only for the person who is ill, but also for others who have a special duty in life to help. That is why we would like to announce that our annual Christmas charity campaign will start on 1 December this year. It has become a tradition to help those who are having the hardest time. In the following article we will introduce you to our chosen charity.
Like last year, we will donate 1% of our monthly turnover to a specially selected charity project. This means that when you shop at ZTF Lāsma between 1 December and 31 December 2023, you will help to increase good. This year we were approached by ziedot.lv, a charity founded in 2003, which we have supported also in the past. As the ZTF Lāsma charity campaign will be held for the eighth year in a row, this year we would like to donate in particular to provide assistance and medical treatment to seriously ill and terminally ill people.
We all know that it is expensive to get sick, and that going to the doctor requires extra financial resources - sometimes a few tests are enough, other times you need to go for tests and treatments every week. The amounts that have to be paid are in most cases higher than the patient's income. A significant part of the family's money goes to care for these people. That is why we continue to ask everyone to stop for a moment and think about someone further away who needs financial support:
